BYRON- Faye Heaberlin Craft, 75, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2010. A Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Perry Memorial Gardens with Reverend Derry Oliver and Reverend Wayne Dorsett officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2010, at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Houston Lake Baptist Church, Westside Baptist Church, or Vista Care Hospice.
Mrs. Craft was born in Kittshill, Ohio to the late Walter and Mary Miller Heaberlin. She had lived in Byron for the last 6 years, after moving from Houston County where she lived most of her life. While she spent most of her life a member of Houston Lake Baptist Church, Mrs. Craft was currently a member of Westside Baptist Church in Warner Robins, where she most recently attended with her daughter’s family. She was the long-time manager of Shoney’s Restaurant in Perry, and was also a Culinary Arts Teacher at Peach County High School for years. A simple lady, she enjoyed spending time with her family most of all. She was predeceased by her husband of over 37 years, Harold Craft; son, Steve Craft; and brother, Bill Heaberlin.
Left to treasure the memories of her are her children, David Craft (Toniese) of Fayetteville, Randy Craft of Macon, and Kathy Tidwell (Bill) of Byron; brother, Bob Heaberlin of Warner Robins; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
