Warner Robins Police are investigating an aggravated assault and robbery after a man sought treatment for gunshot wounds at Houston Medical Center last Thursday.
According to a press release, Stephen Jones, 25, of Warner Robins told police, while at the hospital, he was robbed and shot while walking along Sunset Drive near Pleasant Hill Road.  Officers attempted to locate the crime scene while Jones was being treated for bullet wound injuries to his arm and leg.  Det. Shane Mann, along with the Criminalistics Division, were called to aid in the investigation.  Further investigation revealed Jones was robbed of money earlier in the evening in the area of 119 Garland Terrace. Jones is presently in the Medical Center of Central Georgia seeking treatment.  Further investigation by Det. Mann is ongoing as witnesses are being located and interviewed.
