By KRYSTAL RINER Managing Editor On Tuesday, Feb. 2 around 5:30 p.m., officers of the Warner Robins Police Department were dispatched to Sandpiper Apartments at 800 Leisure Lake Dr, in reference to an accident with injuries. Upon arrival, officers found a gold Lexus struck a tree next to the apartments. The driver was found in the car unconscious. He was taken to the Houston Medical Center where he was revived and is listed in critical condition. The name of the driver was held at that time pending the next of kin notification. On Wednesday, the driver was identified as Christopher McCary, 49, of Warner Robins was still listed in critical condition as of 9 a.m. On Feb. 4, the Warner Robins Police department issued a press release stating that McCary, in the was pronounced deceased late Wednesday evening. According to reports, medical staff determined McCary died of a medical condition that caused the accident at Leisure Lake Drive on Tuesday.
